How to Maintain the FUSN Web Site / Uploading audio recordings of sermons

Uploading audio recordings of sermons

You have to be an editor. If you are not an editor (the "Edit" tab doesn't appear in step 4 below), send email to webster [at] fusn [dot] org requesting to be an Editor (and why).
Summary: you are going to upload a sermon to the page associated with a given service.
  1. Make sure the .mp3 is just of the sermon.  If you need to crop the .mp3, it's helpful to find an editor that doesn't de-compress and then re-compress after editing.  On the mac, the free macsome audio editor seems to work.
  2. Go to fusn.org, click "FUSN Calendar" in the Community Tools right sidebar block.
  3. Find the service, named by the sermon title, and click on it.
  4. Click the "Edit" tab (will only be visible if you are logged in as a user that is an Editor role).
  5. Scroll down to the block titled "Service Audio".
  6. Click "Choose file", navigate with the usual file selector for your OS, then click Upload File.
  7. Wait until the upload is finished.
  8. Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.  This step is easy to forget (I've forgotten to click "Save" many times).
