Youth Coffee House Supports Zambian Orphans

Sam Shereda and Brad Davis

The event kicks off at 7:00 p.m. on March 5 with music and comedy acts. Bands hit the stage from 9:30–11:00 p.m. in the FUSN Parish Hall.

Proceeds of tickets ($7 for youth; $13 for adults) and sales of snacks, tee shirts, aprons, totes and Zambian items benefit Communities, which supports AIDS Orphans and Vulnerable Children in a small township near Lusaka.

Early and late, the crowd enjoys the performers.Every Year Is a Blast!

The efforts of some 30 FUSN youth and five adults who serve on the leadership team, committees, and/or as performers make this event successful each year. More than 200 attendees buy tickets, food, beverages.

The Coffee House is pure entertainment! The acts include a capella groups, bands, comedy troupes, and musical performances by teenagers from Newton North and Newton South high schools. Two FUSN teens serve as MCs and engage the crowd with humor.
